The Revista Iberoamericana de Gobierno Local (RIGL), established in 2011, is edited by the Centro Iberoamericano de Gobernabilidad, Administración y Políticas Públicas Locales, within the scope of the research conducted by the Instituto de Investigación Urbana y Territorial of the Unión Iberoamericana de Municipalistas (UIM).
The journal is published biannually and features original works on Local Government and Public Administration, with special attention to those of interest for understanding the processes of decentralization and Ibero-American local institutions. It adopts a multidisciplinary approach, particularly encompassing the social sciences that contribute to the comprehension of the journal's focus: Law, Public Administration Science, Political Science, Sociology, and Economics.
