In a milestone of great significance for the entire region, Zapopan will host for the first time the joint holding of the Ibero-American Summit on Local Gender Agendas and the Ibero-American Congress of Municipalists of the UIM.

The Forum of Latin American and Caribbean Countries on Sustainable Development is the regional mechanism for monitoring and reviewing the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their targets, their means of implementation, and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda.

The Eighth Meeting of the Forum of Latin American and Caribbean Countries on Sustainable Development will be held at ECLAC headquarters in Santiago from March 31 to April 4, 2025.

The 2025 Annual Meeting of the OECD Local Development Forum will explore how communities can better harness their local assets to deliver economic and social transformation in light of the environmental, technological and geo-political transitions reshaping our economies. Given its own transformation, Barranquilla – Colombia’s “Golden Gate” – provides a compelling backdrop to discuss how public, private and social economy actors can work together to support place-based change. 
 

The sixth edition of the World Forum for Local Economic Development will be held from April 1 to 4, 2025 in Seville, Spain, at the Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions (FIBES).

The Forum will focus on global priorities related to the triple transition (digital, social, and economic), social justice, local workforce development, public management, public-private partnerships, and the role of the private sector and the social and solidarity economy. It will also emphasize employment and decent work, as well as the concept of a new economy that “cares” for communities from the local level. Additionally, the Forum will explore multilevel partnerships and the interplay between global, national, and decentralized (regional-local) policies.
