INTERNATIONAL TECHNICAL MISSION: LOCAL GOVERNMENT WITH A GENDER APPROACH. LEADING IN THE KEY OF EQUALITY

In this International Technical Mission, you will be able to learn about theoretical content and different experiences related to public policies with a gender perspective, which will be taught in the program for professionals from different Latin American countries.

Goals:

  • Publicize experiences in which the transversal application of gender has been sought in public policies and equity, with the purpose of visualizing challenges and lines that can be transferred and installed in the spheres of the municipalities.
  • Promote the incorporation of the gender approach in local public agendas through awareness and commitment to gender equality.
  • Improve the capacity of politicians, technicians and directors in the management of special interventions oriented towards equity and gender mainstreaming when designing, implementing and supervising local public policies.

MASTER'S DEGREE IN LOCAL PUBLIC ADDRESS AND MANAGEMENT (XXI Edition)

Goals:

  • Prepare local managers and Ibero-American public managers, promoting the updating of their knowledge and management techniques, to generate an administrative culture and government capacity in the Ibero-American municipality.
  • Make available to municipal managers effective solutions and tools that make them assume the new roles that the local government demands within the international context, promoting the improvement of the basic conditions of institutionalization, administration and management of the Ibero-American municipality.
  • Promote and facilitate scenarios for the multiplication of modern styles of government and public management through the exchange of knowledge, experiences and techniques.

SPECIALIZED TRAINING COMMUNICATION AND LOCAL DEVELOPMENT

The course leaves behind the idea of ​​instrumental communication to install in the students the idea of ​​advancing citizen dialogue from complicity, mutual work and the incorporation of communication as a strategic tool that facilitates and collaborates with sustainable local development.

Special emphasis will be placed on the need to build strategies that allow the recovery of citizen trust in governments of different levels and in the authorities that lead them.

Through this Ibero-American Course, students will learn:

  • The importance of communication in the generation of dialogues between the different actors and agents present in the territory.
  • To identify and provide replicable concepts, tools and experiences that enhance territorial value from the generation of a local identity.
  • Provide content that contributes to the creation of a territory brand.
  • To promote the use of territorial communication and marketing strategies to collaborate in local development processes.
