The VI Ibero-American Summit of Local Gender Agendas is convened by the Ibero-American Union of Municipalists, together with the City Council of Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Spain).
This important event for the advancement of women is co-organized by the United Nations entity dedicated to promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women - UN Women, the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB), the United Nations Program for Development (UNDP) and the Inter-American Commission of Women (CIM-OEA).
It is an invitation to exchange reflections, experiences, questions, achievements, and also challenges and obstacles regarding the achievement of effective equality between women and men at the local level.
In this Ibero-American event, public administrations, associations, universities, cooperation agencies and people in particular share their experiences, studies and research, their knowledge and their creativity to promote the incorporation of the gender approach in local public agendas through social awareness and political commitment to substantive equality.

The third meeting of National Coordinators and Heads of Cooperation within the framework of the XXVIII Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, to be held in Madrid in 2022, will take place on July 5-8, 2022.
The motto of the Summit will be "Together towards a fair and sustainable Ibero-America".
The World Summit of Local and Regional Leaders, convened by United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), is the largest gathering of mayors, presidents of associations, councillors, and local and regional practitioners from around the world. It also gathers the most influential local and regional leaders, councilors, local governments, partners, and actors implicated in the decision making of city and community life.
The gathering is the true cornerstone of our movement and organization. It has also become a reunion relevant to the members of UCLG, to the movement and to the world. The gathering showcases our full strength, the diversity of our organization, and our capacity to work with others aiming to strike a balance between the great matters of our time and the day to day business of our communities and our neighborhoods.
