In the V Ibero-American Summit of Local Agendas Gender, public administrations, associations, gender mechanisms, universities, agencies and individuals in particular will share their experiences, studies and research, knowledge and creativity to encourage the incorporation of the gender perspective on local public agendas through political and social commitment to substantive equality.
The XIII Ibero-American Congress of Municipalists, organized by the UIM together with the City Council of Orizaba and various international organizations, constitutes the most relevant and influential Ibero-American meeting of municipalists, local authorities (mayors, councilors), management and technical staff of local, regional governments and their associations, cooperation networks, training centers, business sector and UIM partners and partners.
This edition will address the central theme “How to build a Good Government”, with three axes of discussion: (i) Innovation and Development (ii) Democratic Governance and (iii) Ethics and Transparency
The X World Urban Forum (WUF 10) will take place in the City of Abu Dhabi in 2020. The Forum will be organized by UN Habitat as well as by different Departments of the city of Abu Dhabi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Secretary General of the Executive Council and the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center.
WUF 10 will be a platform to address issues such as city planning in the 21st century, taking into account the context of rapid urban development with special emphasis on culture and demography.
The 13th edition of the event that annually brings together local authorities from 24 countries of the continent will take place from March 17 to 20, 2020 in Recife, State of Pernambuco (Brazil). With the motto "Innovative Cities for the People", the 2020 Summit aims to encourage and strengthen the political appropriation, by local governments, of the innovation agenda linked to the daily lives of people in their territories.
