Bonos de carbono: desarrollo conceptual y aproximación crítica

The prevailing model of market economy in the world, has managed to transcend historical alternatives that have been opposed, especially in the past century centrally planned economies. Nevertheless, there is a major challenge that the model should take consistent in effect on the environment has led to the capitalist mode of production, a situation that shows us today is a stubborn reality facing a climate change threat seriously survival of many species and in the medium term, even human beings on earth, if the process continues sustained deterioration in current conditions. Faced with this situation, initiatives arising from the first world as so-called "carbon bonds", conceived as financial tools that seek to create incentives for countries and companies in their processes to use cleaner technologies or do so on a smaller scale expected. So, in this work we do not delve into the analysis of sounding if carbon credits are an efficient method for reducing emissions of greenhouse gases or a market instrument to foster financial market mechanism.
