The purpose of this review is to evaluate the performance of the region
reducing poverty and promoting shared prosperity
over the past decade and, simultaneously, use a simple model based on
assets to highlight some of the main elements affecting
ability of poorer households to generate income. descriptions
presented in this chapter are the basis for the eight studies
on countries which are included below, in which the advances are analyzed
heterogeneous in terms of meeting the objectives and identify
the main policy variables that have influenced results
