Through this Law, the universal right to receive palliative care care is declared for all people who suffer from serious, progressive and advanced diseases, with little or no response to specific treatments, who present multiple severe symptoms, changing over time that impact the autonomy and quality of life due to the symptomatic or psychological burden, disability or dependence that they generate, and limit their vital prognosis.
