The objective of this Law is to guarantee the provision of the public housing service of social interest through the generation and promotion of projects and housing plans of public, private or cooperative initiative. Likewise, it promotes the cooperative organization and the development of the popular and solidary economy in the planning, supply and solution of the housing demand. State responsibilities are established, which will be to allocate, generate and manage public and private, national and foreign resources for the development of social interest housing. In addition, it expands the powers of the Decentralized Autonomous Governments for the supply and management of social housing.
