The Constitution and the fight against corruption

Corruption has devastating effects on public life. Well-designed constitutional democracies have effective checks and balances that reduce the frequency and magnitude of corrupt behavior; but when there are errors or insufficiencies in the constitutional construction of democracy, corruption overflows and causes profound damage to the State.

This work presents the experiences of constitutional systems in Latin America, Asia and Europe in the fight against corruption. The objective is to offer analysis materials to perfect the instruments that eradicate this scourge, as an essential condition for the survival of the constitutional State.
