The fashion for artificial intelligence is reaching public administrations, despite the fact that it does so at a slower pace than in other sectors. Today there are already some public administrations that use artificial intelligence in data analysis, decision-making, fraud and irregularity detection or the provision of public services. The use of artificial intelligence generates numerous challenges for public administrations that must be addressed, such as opacity, biases and discrimination, the reduction of guarantees in the processing of administrative procedures, responsibility for damages caused in the use of artificial intelligence or its impact on public occupation. Artificial intelligence is one of the foundations of smart governance that must understand all people to contribute to sustainable development.
