The Ibero-American Union of Municipalists (UIM), this 2021, celebrates thirty uninterrupted years of activity. The Ibero-American Municipalism Week, over five days, will unite the managers and agents and the local world in various virtual and face-to-face activities and will be the framework to invite the XIII Ibero-American Congress of Municipalists, which the UIM, is organizing jointly with the City Council of Orizaba (Mexico) in the month of December.
The event is organized by the FAMSI, the Confederation of Cooperation Funds, CONFOCOS, and the FEMP, with the collaboration of the DGPOLDES, AECID, AACID, Platforma, the Córdoba City Council and the Córdoba Provincial Council.
The event is expected to bring together political and institutional leaders from across the country to open a dialogue on municipal public policy for international cooperation and action, the role of local governments and their networks within the framework of the European Union. as well as the issues that cooperation addresses in response to current challenges.
The Ibero-American Union of Municipalists, a program attached to the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB), convenes its XIII Ibero-American Congress of Municipalists co-organized with the Orizaba City Council, with the collaboration of Transparency International and the Latin American Federation of Cities, Municipalities and Municipal Associations (FLACMA ).
Within the 2021 Training Plan, the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces celebrates a training action aimed at promoting progress in a common concept of international cooperation for the promotion of sustainable development and the role of Local Governments.
The Seminar will take place on July 7, 8 and 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and will be attended by speakers from AECID, the Directorate General for Sustainable Development Policies (DGPOLDES) and the European Commission.
