The rights of access to information, participation and environmental justice were enshrined in the Escazú Agreement, which is the first regional instrument, Latin American and Caribbean, legally binding on matters environmental, with a rights perspective human, which explains the relationship of interdependence between these and the achievement of sustainable development and the human right to an environment healthy. It is also the first binding agreement in the world to incorporate specific provisions for the protection and defense of defenders of human rights in environmental issues, which represents a worldwide milestone. Once the Escazú Agreement entered into force, it will be national law and therefore mandatory execution and it will be the supreme norm in everything related to human rights, making it essential know its scope and possible implications for Mexico.
